From a passing interest as a hobby to a passion for photography, that’s how Urban Panda Photography was born. One photo shoot for friends became two, then three and soon I found how much I loved seeing people come alive in front of my camera lens. I love to capture the essence of people in my photography.

I love to experiment with the power of photography, specializing in conceptual and fine art, although I love anything that challenges me. I believe that photos are much more than images and that each and every one is a story on it's own.

My passion is to make those stories come alive! I enjoy working with people. I love shooting on location as I believe it captures the true beauty of the scene/ event taking place.

Maboneng Precinct is situated in Johannesburg CBD. It’s a huge attraction for artists, musicians and foodies, with Arts on Main and Neighbourgoods Market. This is a really cool spot for young and hip couples to have their couples or engagement photoshoot. It also works well for a maternity shoot.

Emmarentia Dam

Emmarentia Dam is situated in Emmarentia, Randburg. The dam has a beautiful park and the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens linked to it. It’s a spacious and serene spot for a photo shoot, which gives you the opportunity to get beautiful photos with the dam in the background and the beautiful gardens. There are also scenic paths in the gardens, which makes for really pretty photos. Another bonus is that its pet-friendly, so if you want a few photos with your four-legged friend, this will be a great option for you. This location also works well for any type of photo shoot.

Newtown

The bright and vibrant colours of the city as a background is a good option for a fun shoot. Scenes in Newtown can include the Newtown Museum Africa or the Nelson Mandela Bridge. There are also graffiti walls to add an interesting element to the shoot. This location works well for couple/ engagement or portrait photo shoots.

Gold Reef City

Gold Reef City is a truly unique Johannesburg destination. It is the perfect backdrop for a fun, colourful session with the playground fun-rides in the background. This spot is perfect for friends/ family/ couple or engagement photo shoots.

The Sammy Marks Museum is situated just outside of Pretoria on the Bronkhorstspruit road. The museum offers a beautiful and vintage style for photo shoots. There are ruins of old buildings on the premises which provides a background for vintage photos. There are also beautiful pine trees and gardens, which provides the background for beautiful naturalistic photos. This is a perfect spot for family/ couple or engagement photo shoots.

Rosemary Hill

The venue boasts two greenhouses, a ruin, colourful corrugated iron walls, trees and a lovilee veld. This is a perfect spot for family/ couple or engagement photo shoots.

Enjoy the history of our country and visit old President, Paul Kruger and all the old buildings at Kerkplein. Be sure to take some birdseed or breadcrumbs along to spoil the hundreds of doves that make this their home. This sport works well for family/ couple or engagement photo shoots.

The town of Pretville is located in Hartebeespoort, and is literally a real life movie set that you can visit over weekends and public holidays. The little town boasts a diner, movie theater and various props that can make it a fun day outing with the family. In addition you can book the venue on their website for photo shoots. The French Toast Coffee Cafe was specially built as the official ‘Bar’ in the film French Toast, which in Montmartre, Paris, France playback, and it is known as Café Alexandre in the movie. Situated in the heart of Pretoria is Duncan Yard, a distinctive boutique lifestyle center and must-do lunch spot. Here visitors amble through quaint stores and eateries along cobbled stone walkways and castle turrets. The alfresco center provides a unique shopping experience with over 15 restaurants and shops. Its picturesque location is reminiscent of a rustic Italian village and provides a refreshingly exotic experience.
